Cumberland Sad Iron

Cumberland Sad Iron

This antique Cumberland Sad iron was probably created in the mid to late 1800’s. It is a heavy cast iron Sad Iron. Sad meaning it being solid and heavy. It weighs almost 6 ½ pounds. On the solid iron handle there is the word CUMBERLAND embossed. Also on the top of the iron is a big number 7.

Weigh: 6 ½ pounds

Measures:  4 ½ inches high (from flat base to handle) 6 inches from tip of iron base to base.

Condition: Really good condition except for some light rust. Rust could be removed and then polished.

Markings: CUMBERLAND embossed on handle. Number 7 embossed on top of iron.
